The California Body Contouring Council ("CABCC") was created by the California Legislature through the enactment of Senate Bill 731.
CABCC is a Public Benefit Certified B Corporation.
Its’ volunteer Board of Directors are professionals in the medical and body contouring profession and other stakeholders as authorized by law in California Business and Professions Code sections 4600 et. seq. CABCC is required by California Business and Professions Code section 4600 et. seq. to:
Create and implement a certification program for the Body Contouring profession that will enable consumers to easily identify credible Certified Body Contouring Specialists.
Ensure that Certified Body Contouring Professionals have completed sufficient training from CABCC.
Maintain a valid B Lab Certification that guides the CABCC in the following five areas: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers.
The California Body Contouring Council’s mission is to protect the public by certifying Body Contouring Professionals in California that meet the requirements in the law, and approving and creating scope of practice guidelines that meet the minimum standards for training and curriculum.
