California Body Contouring Council’s mission is to protect the public by certifying Body Contouring Practitioners in California that meet the requirements in the law.

The CABCC defines the scope of practice, provides current and ongoing training, addresses consumer complaints, and provides compliance guidance within the rules and regulations of AB2412 and California. California Certified and Permitted Body Contouring Practitioner minimum QUALIFICATIONS:

1-BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER.
2-HAVE A VALID (not expired)  CALIFORNIA DRIVER’S LICENSE or CALIFORNIA IDENTIFICATION CARD.
3-PASS A NEW FINGERPRINT CLEARANCE CHECK FROM LIVESCAN. (previous fingerprint clearance will not be accepted)
4-ENROLL AND SUCCESSFULLY PASS THE CALIFORNIA CERTIFIED AND PERMITTED BODY CONTOURING PRACTITIONER COURSE.

Course Length: 

  • You have 5 weeks to complete this course. 
  • You may complete the course earlier than 5 weeks as long as you pass each module and the final exam.

 

Course Start Date: Date of Paid Enrollment    

Course End Date: 5 Weeks from Paid Enrollment Date 

If you DO NOT successfully complete and pass this course in 5 weeks:

  • You must retake the entire course again. 
  • Pay a $125 reauthorization course fee.
  • Receive another 5 weeks to successfully complete the course.

 

Fingerprint Instructions:

  • The LiveScan CABCC fingerprint form should be downloaded and printed as soon as you have enrolled in the course. You need to bring that exact form to LiveScan.
  • You should physically submit your fingerprints to your nearby LiveScan location as soon as you begin this course as not to delay your certification permit. 
  • Your 1-passed course AND your 2-fingerprint clearance must be met before the CABCC will issue your certification permit.
  • Fingerprints can take up to 5 weeks for processing. Start right away!

 

Notification of Cleared Fingerprints and Certification Permit Issuance:

  • You will receive a CABCC email that will notify you when your fingerprints have cleared and if you have completed and successfully passed the course. 
  • If you have successfully passed the course at this time and your fingerprints have cleared, you will then be able to access your California Certified and Permitted Body Contouring Practitioner official certificate document.
  • The email date from the CABCC to you will serve as the official annual start date and it will be reflected on your certification permit document.

 

Remember: Fingerprint clearance and passing the course both must be met in order to access your California Certified and Permitted Body Contouring Practitioner official certificate document.
